Set Menu
The veranda serves seven specialty sets pairing savory & sweet selections,
Moana Classic teas like the Hawaiian Coconut and Passion Orange Guava and traditional teas.
I opted for the Moana Classic Tea ($69), which included finger sandwiches, sweet offerings, scones, and sorbet.
After selecting your tea set, choose your tea from a selection of Moana Classic Teas including Hawaiian Coconut,
Sweet Peach, Passion Orange Guava, or Mango Pineapple or Traditional Teas including Classic Earl Grey,
Emerald Jasmine Pearls, Indian Darjeeling or Traditional Herbal Rooibos.
I selected Hawaiian Coconut which is Ceylon black tea with coconut nibs.
My choice was right.
I was pleasantly surprised by its superior taste with creamy flavor of coconut.
Move on to the savory and sweet selection!
Besides a three-tier stand, savory plate was served as well.
The savory plate had the following menu items on it.
•Eggplant Katsu Sando
•Ho Farms Cucumber
•Sweet Pea and Lobster
•Asian Crab Potato Salad
•Truffle Egg
The sandwich menu was very helpful as an escape when I got tired of sweets.
And everything was delicious.
The following four menus were on the cake plate.
• Chocolate decadence with coffee mousse
• Haupia roll cake
• Mango passion macaron
• Eclair with berry mousse
My favorite was the Haupia roll cake which tastes coconuts flavor, representing the essence of Hawaii.
The middle plate of the three-tier stand was for scones.
Blueberry Orange Scones with Passion Fruit Cream and Mascarpone Cream.
While delicious on their own, adding Mascarpone Cream enhanced the experience.
Orange peel is sprinkled all over.
Normal afternoon tea scones are often served with butter and jam, but the passion fruit cream is typical of Hawaii.
After finishing the delightful treats, a tropical sherbet was served – a small yet delicious treat,
even when you are already full.
Enjoyed afternoon tea in Hawaii…
The open-air seating allowed us to enjoy the oceanfront view,
pleasant sea breeze and the relaxing sound of waves while having afternoon tea.
The friendly sparrows came closer and seemed like they were having afternoon tea with us, that creates a lovely afternoon tea experience.
I think it’s rare to see sparrows so close.
In addition to the Moana Classic Tea that I had,
they offer options like set with Sparkling Rosé and a Vegan Afternoon Tea.

I visited on a Friday at 11 AM and found it not too crowded,
but reservations via OpenTable are recommended for a stress-free experience.

Indulging in afternoon tea with a view of the iconic Banyan Tree in an open patio
will be definitely memorable experience in Hawaii, making it highly recommended for anyone visiting here.
It was the most elegant time.
This can only be experienced in Hawaii!
