Finally, the travel restrictions have been lifted!
I visited Hawaii by using an ANA international award ticket.
It had been approximately 15 years since my last visit to the beautiful islands of Hawaii.
Before flying to Hawaii, I seized the opportunity to use the ANA LOUNGE at Narita Airport for the first time since I attained a Star Alliance Gold status (aka SFC member), so I would like to share the inside of the lounge.
* The ANA Lounge in Narita Airport allows for Priority Pass members to enter.
First, buffet counter!
There is a variety of items available at the buffet counter,
including salads, sandwiches, rice balls, bread, and hot dishes.
Most of the dishes are in mini-sized portions, so you can try a variety if you’d like.
* The menus are subject to change without notice.
There is also dedicated counter for traditional Japanese alcoholic beverages.
You can view the full menu here.
We took a table and had our meal in front of the FLYING HONU aircraft that we were going to board.
The ANA Original Chicken Curry is their signature dish. It has a slightly sweet taste,
but it wasn’t to my taste as I prefer spicier flavors.
I believe the best option in the lounge is the ramen noodles with pork broth.
You can find noodles like Ramen, Soba, and Udon at the noodle bar located behind the buffet counter.
When you request the noodle you desire at the noodle bar, you will receive the bell.
Then you can pick up your order at the noodle bar when the bell rings.
I wanted to eat noodles other than ramen, but I didn’t because the flight meal is typically served about 2 hours after boarding the plane.
I was also looking forward to the flight meal.
Next, shower rooms
ANA Lounge offers shower room facilities.
If you would like to take a shower, it’s best to request a shower room sooner than later as it can get busy and there may be a long wait for a shower during peak times.
I think it’s better to receive a waiting number from the standalone machine located around the reception desk,
when you first enter the lounge.
On the machine you need to enter your available phone number and you will receive SMS confirming your reservation.
You will be notified by text message when your turn is approaching, allowing you to go directly to the reception in the shower rooms.
For this trip, my flight is NH184 scheduled to depart at 8:10 pm, so I made the reservation at 5:30 pm, right after entering the lounge.
At the time I made the request, there were nine people ahead of me, but fortunately, my turn came just 30 minutes later, which was earlier than I expected.
In total, there are 10 shower rooms, and each person is allocated 30 minutes.
This efficient rotation is why the line moves quickly.
The shower room hallway looked elegant.
The inside of the shower room was… super clean that I couldn’t believe it had been used by someone else before me.
There was no hair on the floor and not a drop of water.
It was truly remarkable.
This level of cleanliness exemplifies Japanese high-quality service.
I felt immense appreciation for the staff who meticulously cleaned the shower rooms.
The water pressure in the shower was not too strong and not too weak, so it was perfect.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are all available from Mikimoto products.
The shower room had a walk-in shower, toilet, and sink including plentiful amenities.
Towels, personal hygiene, and bath and body products are provided for your use.
There is a circulator in the sink so temperature control were good, and the room didn’t get too hot even when using the hair dryer.
By the way the hair dryer is a Dyson!
There is a clock so you can always check how much time is left until the time limit.
Amenities such as slippers, combs, and toothbrushes are also provided.
The toner, milky loation, and serum are all from Sekkisei.
Review of ANA LOUNGE
This was my first time using ANA LOUNGE at Narita Airport, and I was extremely satisfied with the experience, particularly the shower room.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to relax and get cleaned up before my long flight.
You can enjoy a quality space to rest and relax before your long flight as well if you have opportunity to use ANA lounge.
I will definitely visit ANA lounge before long flight in the future.
Wishing you all a fantastic time at the ANA Lounge!
